If you are currently receiving monthly social security payments, you should automatically receive your new Medicare card and in a separate envelope, you will receive the booklet, “Medicare and You 2018”, which is published by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. (CMS)

If you’ve already received your book, open it to page 2 and you will see a picture of what your new Medicare card will look like. According to that page, new replacement cards will be sent out beginning April 2018, although I have not had any of my Medicare clients report that they have been the recipient of the new card. Please let me know if you have.

Also on page 2, CMS reminds everyone to make sure that Social Security has your correct mailing address.
